Beer Canada promotes latest award

A $1,000 award is being offered to the top performing student entering their final year. This scholarship demonstrates our goal to raise awareness among future brewing leaders of the support available to them.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University runs a state‐of‐the‐art teaching brewery, KPU Brewing, at its Langley campus in British Columbia.

The university’s Brewing and Brewery Operations Diploma program commenced in 2014 and is the only diploma of its kind in the province.

“Our students have great passion for beer and it is wonderful to have their efforts recognized by our national industry association.” explained Alek Egi, program coordinator and brewing instructor.

Luke Harford, president, added that Beer Canada’s strategy is to unify the brewing community.

“We are thrilled to announce that we now support three separate student awards at each postsecondary education brewing program available in Canada,” he added.
