The $149,319 investment, which is repayable, enables the company to purchase and install larger fermentation tanks and canning equipment needed to meet growing demand for its products.

FedNor, through its Targeted Manufacturing Initiative for Northern Ontario, supports the development and growth of the region’s manufacturing sector by helping companies such as the Lake of the Woods Brewing Company.

Taras Manzie, president and CEO of Lake of the Woods Brewing Company, explained: “Thanks to the Government of Canada’s investment in our production line, we will be able to offer our distinctive and flagship beers in smaller formats that are better suited for distribution.
