The company, founded by Mark Zemlak, is utilising a 7hl brewhouse and thanks to current projects, he is already running at full capacity.

Boiling Oar Brewing, as reported by the excellent dailybeer.ca, is offering two core brews, a 5% Kölsch and a harder-hitting 6% Pale.

Speaking the Dailybeer, Zemlak explained: “We have a seven hectolitre system in here right now, with 14 hectolitre fermenters and a bright tank.

“I haven’t officially checked, but I think we’re the only brewery in Alberta using tanks that are heated by electricity.”  Zemlak explains that his current system is big in the dairy industry, but given his background, it makes sense to do it this way.”
