Niagara-on-the-Lake-based The Exchange Brewery has unveiled its new beer, * Session Saison.

Available in 750ml Italian sparkling wine bottles, the 5% beer is pitched as the perfect gift for holiday parties.

The brewery said: “Session Saison is a low alcohol saison that is the perfect introduction to Belgian-style beers.

“Delicately hopped with Crystal and Vanguard hops, this beer lets the pepper and clove flavours of our house Belgian Ale yeast shine. Aged in Hungarian Foeders for three weeks and dry-hopped with Ontario hop producer Clear Valley Hops’ Crystal Hops, this brew has subtle oak flavours and is refreshingly dry.”

* Session Saison has IBU 25,  SRM 4 and a OG 1.040, and is available in Loblaws, Fortinos, Real Canadian Superstore, Zehrs (Ontario).
