New tours to hit Toronto’s East End brewery scene

Beer fans can soon tour Toronto’s East-End buoyant brewery scene with The Beer Bus.

Guests can visit three of the ten brick-and-mortar TEBC breweries, and one excellent east-end bar for an exclusive east side experience.

Paul Izdebski of The Beer Bus, explained: “This is the first beer tour of its kind. Each stop will present a different component of beer education; while giving a behind-the-scenes experience with stories from each of the breweries about what they specialize in and what inspired them to open in the first place.”

Brewery representatives will be on hand to speak about beer styles, ingredients, food pairings and give a behind-the-scenes look at each facility.

“The one thing all of our breweries share in common is that we brew beer, but our journeys are all so different,” added Chris Goddard of Brunswick Bierworks.

Muddy York Brewing Co.’s Susan Michalek continued: “We all have unique spaces, specialties, and approaches to the way we brew beer. Giving people an opportunity to get a glimpse of how we all tick, how we utilize the different components of brewing, and what choices we ultimately make to produce all this great beer will be a real pleasure.”

Dave Lee of Eastbound Brewing sees it as a chance to “better connect with our customers”.

He said: “It’s one thing to walk into a brewery and smell beer brewing. It’s a whole other experience to get up close and personal with the ingredients, learn where they come from, the work that goes into producing them, and how they impact the finished product.”

The first tour launches Saturday, November 17th with visits to Louis Cifer Brew Works, Godspeed Brewery, Muddy York Brewing, and Radical Road Brewing. New tours will be announced every month, and The Beer Bus will offer discounted rates for multi-tour purchases.

Each tour will include:

• Transportation, unlimited snacks & water on board the bus

• One full meal at a Toronto East Brewery Collective brewpub

• One 4 x 5 oz tasting flight at each brewery

• An educational presentation highlighting the passion and knowledge unique to each brewery

• One pint at the final stop
