B.C. Brewery Co-founder is Nominated for Leadership Award

The 2023 BC Food & Beverage Leadership Award has been nominated for Patt Dyck, co-founder of Cannery Brewing, who has spent more than 20 years contributing to Penticton’s craft beer sector.

The voting period for the prize, in which she is one of three finalists, will run from September 5 through September 19.

“We all know that she’s an amazing leader, and we are thrilled she is a well-deserved finalist,” a social media post from the brewery reads.

Each year, the award is given to people in the field who “lead with dedication and inspiration.”

On October 11, in a ceremony held by BC Food & Beverage at Vancouver’s Rocky Mountaineer Station, the winner will be declared.

In 2001, Dyck and her husband Ron established Cannery Brewing. It’s now situated in Penticton at 198 Ellis Street.

Dyck is presently the brewery’s general manager in addition to being one of the co-founders.
