Owner True North revealed a number of additional alcoholic beverage choices for the downtown arena on Monday, in preparation for the Winnipeg Jets 2023–24 hockey season and Canada Life Centre events.

There will be a craft beer zone with beer from Trans Canada Brewing, Kilter Brewing, and Little Brown Jug.

“What a great place to be to expand the reach of local craft beer,” Jennifer Elson, spokeswoman for Trans Canada Brewing Company, wrote in a statement. “We think it’s going to be positive for the local craft beer industry as a whole.”

Last month, True North looked for craft beer partners. The Winnipeg Goldeyes, who launched their own craft beer stand in 2018, are the subject of this.

According to Elson, Trans Canada Brewing Company would provide “as much beer as needed” to maintain the stations outside section 310 and at the north main concourse filled.

According to True North’s request for bids from last summer, Canada Life Centre sells between 3,800 to 4,800 hectolitres (one hectolitre is equal to 100 litres) of beer per year.

True North invested $13 million in the 15,300-seat rink’s upgrades, which included lengthening the north concourse.
