Brewers in Nova Scotia are celebrating the life of industry pioneer Kevin Keefe with an English-style bitter.

According to Kellye Robertson, a production manager at Good Robot Brewing Company, “he was the guy when you think of English styles, and he represented that so well in Nova Scotia.”

Keefe established Granite Brewing in Halifax, which was Nova Scotia’s first craft brewery. He left behind a legacy for people working in the field before passing away in 2024. Robertson recalls, “Being the first, Kevin was like a beer dad.
