P.E.I. is Considering Revising “Outdated” Liquor Regulations

Prince Edward Island’s finance minister agrees that the government has to reform its alcohol laws.

Before the P.E.I. assembly, a question about the rules limiting the presence of families with young children in venues that serve alcohol when live entertainment begins was brought up.

Finance Minister Jill Burridge was informed by Liberal MLA Robert Henderson that “a local brewery was fined and a waitress lost her liquor serving privileges because the entertainment started before the family with a minor finished their meal.”
